Definitions:
CL: You use expressions like among other things to indicate that there are several more facts, things, but that you do not intend to mention them all.
MW: in addition to things that are not specifically mentioned
MM: used for saying that there are other details, examples etc in addition to the ones that you are mentioning
Examples:
He moved to England in 1980 where, among other things, he worked as a journalist.
The study found, among other things, that men and women are equally at risk for the disease.
Among other things, she didn’t like the way the room was decorated.
